# Set up Clever for your district

> Approve Type the Word, share the correct Clever roster, and verify the first synchronization.

## Prerequisites

* Clever district administrator access
* A current roster containing the schools, sections, teachers, and students that will use Type the Word
* A confirmed Type the Word school rollout

## Approve and share Type the Word

    Open Type the Word from your Clever district application workflow and
    review the requested Secure Sync data.

    Share only the schools and sections that should use Type the Word.
  </Step>

    Confirm Type the Word is available to the intended users in the Clever
    Portal.

<Note>
  Type the Word imports only the district data Clever shares with the
  application. Correct school, section, and role data in Clever before
  troubleshooting it in Type the Word.

## Verify the roster

1. Wait for the first roster synchronization to complete.
2. Launch Type the Word from Clever with an administrator account.
3. Confirm the expected schools and classrooms appear.
4. Open a classroom and compare its teachers and students with Clever.

## Troubleshooting

* **No schools or sections appear:** Review the sharing scope in Clever.
* **A user is missing:** Confirm the user has an active teacher or student role in a shared section.
* **Old roster data remains:** Allow the next synchronization to complete, then check the last successful sync time.
* **The Clever tile is unavailable:** Confirm the application is assigned to the affected users.

## Setup complete
